Dock/Swim Platform Kit – 12-ft x 12-ft

Description

This is our DIY dock/swim platform kit. The kit comes with all the hardware and floats you need to build your own floating 12-ft x 12-ft dock or swim platform. All you have to do is buy the wood! The kit comes with step-by-step instructions, 3-ft x 4-ft x 16-in floats, galvanized steel hardware, and wood materials list. Hardware includes hinge connectors, inside and outside corners, lag bolts, washers, nuts, deck screws, etc. This kit is designed to last for many years. Our plans use 2-in x 8-in stringers and 2-in x 6-in treated wood. Our floats are a one-piece rotationally molded part, which eliminates seams that can cause water leakage. Our floats also use a thick shell of extra strong virgin polyethylene containing UV inhibitors, making them resistant to the sun, saltwater, freshwater, oil, gas and marine organisms. Each float is foam filled with expanded polystyrene for optimal flotation.
