Optimal Junior is a 42% protein and 10% lipid diet in a 3mm mixed length floating pellet that targets a wide range of fish sizes. However, freshly stocked fish tend to be smaller than the 5”+ range we recommend for the Bluegill line.  Freshly stocked fish also can come with another challenge…they’ve never seen a fish food pellet before. Optimal Junior is designed to target both of these challenges.

Optimal Junior is created with very high-grade fish meal proteins called hydrolysates. These hydrolysates possess characteristics that increase palatability in most marine and freshwater species. By combining the right protein sources with a smaller diameter mixed lengths pellet size, Optimal Junior is the answer to feeding small newly stocked fish. We have received stories of successfully feed trained fish ranging from redear to yellow perch, even muskie!
