Our Gamefish Tagging Kit features the same products we use when electrofishing ponds. Included is a Pistol Grip Tagging Gun and 25 Numbered Fish Tags.

We tag fish to track growth and movement—and to learn how many times a fish has been caught. Catching tagged fish is not only great for research—it is also a lot of fun! Fish tagging adds yet another element to the enjoyment your pond or lake.

Pistol Grip Tagging Gun

Our easy-to-use tagging gun inserts a fish tag to 5/8-inch depth and comes with a .077-inch OD needle. Tags are inserted to the rear and just below the dorsal fin. The small tag does not hinder fish movement.

Numbered Fish Tags

Numbered Fish Tags (25 pack) work well with medium and small fish. Tags are sequentially numbered through the quantity. Replacement tags are available in quantities of 25, 100, and 500. Colors are also available (please call for availability).

Our tags feature printed, colored polyolefin tubing protected by a clear polyolefin shrink covering with a very small total diameter. These tags are designed for reliability with colorfast, fade resistant numbering and a sturdy T-bar for reliable staying power.
