Gamefish Tagging Pro Kit

Our Gamefish Tagging Pro Kit features the same products we use when electrofishing ponds. We tag fish to track growth and movement—and to learn how many times a fish has been caught. Catching tagged fish is not only great for research—it is also a lot of fun! Fish tagging adds yet another element to the enjoyment your pond or lake.

Our Gamefish Tagging Pro Kit includes our new, improved Tagging Gun and 25 Numbered Fish Tags that are included in our regular Gamefish Tagging Kit. The Tagging Pro Kit adds a Frabil Expandable Bump Board, a Berkley Digital Fish Scale and Tape Measure, and a Gamefish Tag Chart printed on TerraSlate waterproof paper.

Buying these items together takes you a level above our regular Gamefish Tagging Kit by providing you all of the items you need to catch, tag, weigh, measure, and record your fish tag data. By keeping a running tag record, you will be able to assess the overall health of your fishery through gains in fish weight and length.

Pistol Grip Tagging Gun

Our new, improved, and easy-to-use tagging gun inserts a fish tag to 5/8-inch depth and comes with a .077-inch OD needle. Tags are inserted to the rear and just below the dorsal fin. The small tag does not hinder fish movement.

Numbered Fish Tags

Numbered Fish Tags (25 pack) work well with medium and small fish. Tags are sequentially numbered through the quantity. Replacement tags are available in quantities of 25, 100, and 500. Colors are also available (please call for availability).

Our tags feature printed, colored polyolefin tubing protected by a clear polyolefin shrink covering with a very small total diameter. These tags are designed for reliability with colorfast, fade resistant numbering and a sturdy T-bar for reliable staying power. There are cheaper tags out there,but they just do not hold up. They are a waste of time and money.

Frabil Bump Board

The Gamefish Tagging Pro Kit adds a Frail adjustable bump board, which stretches from 8-inches to 36-inches inches for trophy gamefish of every species and every size. Also features mounting holes to secure to boat deck for fast, easy measurements.

Berkley Digital Fish Scale

Quickly measure the weight of fish up to 50-pounds with the Berkley Digital Fish Scale. Features a no-tear fish clip, a computer that can store 10 fish weights, and a plastic housing that protects the computer. Also included is a detachable 48-inch tape measure for recording fish weight.

Relative Weight Chart

Gamefish Tagging Pro Kit also includes a Relative Weight Chart. Relative weight is an index used by fisheries biologists to determine if a fish is in good condition, fat, or thin.

Gamefish Tag Chart

Gamefish Tagging Pro Kit also includes a Gamefish Pro Fish Tag Chart. This is the same chart that we use at Bjornsen Pond Management during our electrofishing audits. The chart is printed on waterproof TerraSlate paper.
