Sinking Turtle Trap

Bjornsen Pond Management’s sinking turtle traps use high-grade 1-in. x 1-in. 14-gauge galvanized wire not found in other leading brands. Our traps will stand up to the harshest environmental conditions and are completely rust- and maintenance-free. This sinking turtle trap catches turtles by baiting them into a door system that prevents escape. To bait, place soup bones or canned dog food (with holes punched in the ends) within the trap, then place it in water that is two or more feet deep.
