Now that summer is in full swing here at Bjornsen Pond Management, we took some time to do what we love—fish!
For a number of years now, we have had the pleasure of introducing local kids to fishing—Bjornsen Style! You know the old saying, “That’s why they call it fishing and not catching?” Well, this was catching! The fish were reeled in just as fast as we could bait the hooks.
This year’s kids are part of The Salvation Army of Cedar Rapids Youth Ministries Daycamp 2026 program. Helping Bjornsen Pond Management out with “guide” duties were the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Cedar Rapids Police Department.
We will always take time to showcase what we love:
- Happy kids
- Big, healthy fish
- Beautiful ponds
Many thanks go out to The Salvation Army of Cedar Rapids, Iowa DNR and Cedar Rapids Police Department for giving these kids a great opportunity to interface with nature and grow their love of the outdoors.
